About Me
Hi I’m Jon. Designer, Educator and Photobashing Enthusiast. I’m not based anywhere and tend to move globally for any opportunity.
I’m passionate about acquiring and sharing knowledge, and take much satisfaction in having the opportunity to creatively collaborate with others. I have over 7 year’s full time teaching experience, and having given guest lectures and workshops at various institutions internationally. My expertise is in conceptual visual imagery and spatial design principles.
I’ve had the pleasure of utilising my skills in visual communication for a range of clientele. Curated multiple exhibitions from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to Birmingham in the United Kingdom, and had artwork selected for display in public events and galleries. Currently invested in personal projects, UX and UI design training, and occasional freelance illustration, while looking to further my academic career.

Experience
I’ve held multiple roles in my academic career, ranging from department head to creative development for marketing and publicity. Most of my teaching has been in spatial design focusing in retail space management, and promoting brand values through environments and graphics.

I encourage the best out of my students’ creative development, and was known for my unique form of project tutorship. Empathising with their ideas on an equal respect, while giving clear cut expert guidance and feedback. This built a strong relationship with my students. I was often given final year studio projects by my superiors.
I’ve worked in mid-sized private colleges in Malaysia and helped both in terms of academic portfolio growth, and attracting new students though marketing and active sales participation.
