Digifest (Photobashed)
My Visual Communication Masters Degree was focused in creative strategies for producing post-production work in entertainment media. This research contributed to a unique form of visual collage, in which illustrations and graphics were ‘photobashed’ into unique concepts by using parts of various images. My research looked at the augmentation of realities and characters using photography and various digital editing techniques.
The ‘Digifest’ event in Birmingham was my first opportunity to exhibit my research into photobashing for illustration. I produced a series of robotic heads with distinct differences in the collaged images’ subject matter. As I became more active in the event organization I purposed one of the robot designs by incorporating it into the event poster.
